About the Project
This project was specifically designed for the Watersports Museum in Berlin Grünau and implemented as a prototype. Rowing through history and learning about the Olympic Games over the years, the interactive rowing experience begins with choosing between men and women by moving the seat. During the rowing, the Olympic years and relevant information are displayed. The competition starts between different performance levels. After the competition ends, the visitor receives the result, and a question appears on the screen. They then have the opportunity to record and keep their idea on a map.

My Growth Journey
In this project, our team collaborated with the Watersports Museum in Berlin Grünau. We began by holding several meetings with the museum’s team, followed by two months of user research to understand the behaviors and needs of museum visitors. Additionally, we focused on developing and evolving the core concept for the interactive experience.
My project partner and I decided to incorporate Gamification Design, introducing a competitive element to the rowing experience. To connect the rowing machine with the game, we utilized Arduino and TouchDesigner, ensuring seamless interaction between the physical and digital components.
The project culminated in documentation and a presentation to museum stakeholders. Through this process, we learned how to present our ideas as proposals to decision-makers and gained experience in exhibition design, focusing on effectively showcasing our concept.
